EPIC ZIP LINE
Quad zip lines will see you soaring across the valley. Less running, more fun! This exhilarating obstacle will test your bottle. A real hit with everybody that takes on the challenge. A whopping 260 metres long, it's sure to get your adrenaline pumping.
CLIMB, CRAWL, JUMP
We don't want to give too much away, but our obstacles are designed so that everybody can have a go at them, or just skip them if it's not your bag. The day is about having fun with your mates on a muddy adventure course. Put yourself a little out of your comfort zone, and you'll achieve something you never thought possible. Our vibe is relaxed, there's no pressure to tackle any obstacle you aren't sure about, we have more than 30 to go at, and we have experienced marshals on hand to ensure your well-being. If you aren't aiming for a record time, you'll laugh your way round.
SLIDES
Who doesn't love a slide. We have 2. The epic Death Slide (or should we call that the death drop?) and a less intimidating version, nicknamed the Baby Slide, ensuring a splash down for everyone. They both give you a chance for a sit down, a cooling off and an opportunity to get some of that thick mud off ..... ready for the next slathering.
MUD, GLORIOUS MUD
This isn't run of the mill mud. We don't just dig a hole and fill it with water, oh no. This stuff has been percolating for hundreds of years and they are full on bogs. Fed by natural underground springs and to be honest, we really aren't sure how deep some of it is. You can't wade through it, perhaps you can swim on top of it. Better run with your buddies as you may need some help getting through our epic bogs. It's the reason we are called Bog Commander. It's mud, but not as you know it.
Situated in the Peak District moorlands where the three counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire meet, you know this is an epic location. We started building obstacles on our working farm in 2014, not because we could, but because we know you are going to love our rugged landscape, treacherous bogs and epic mud. Our 6km course meanders around the Manifold Valley and there are a whole host of obstacles around every turn .... some natural, some man made. Mother Nature certainly sets the backdrop for a great adventure and she knows how to challenge even the most seasoned mud runner.
Let's talk OBSTACLES. There are literally tons of them. Watery dark tunnels, cargo nets across the river, a weaver (tricky but fun), walls to clamber over, tyres to get mangled in, spiders web to get tangled in and the list goes on. There are lots of natural obstacles too, so we never bother to count them all.
In 2021 we installed 4 epic zip wires, the longest in the Peak District. They are a real hit, but you'll need a bit of bottle to take them on. Soar 260 metres through the air on our zip lines—a heart-pounding thrill ride that’ll supercharge your adrenaline from take-off to landing.
Of course, we want you all to be challenged, but it's got to be fun too, right? Everybody loves a slide, so we have 2. One of them is going to take some gumption. Space hoppers, leap frogs, mud crawl .... it's just like being a kid again.
Whether you’re up for a heart-racing challenge or prefer to soak in the mud-splattered fun at a more leisurely pace, the Bog Commander mud run is built for everyone. And if you're not quite ready to go the full distance, there’s a handy shortcut at the 4km mark, so you can still conquer the mud without going the extra mile.
